Dell has stopped selling it’s XPS 10 tablets, which were running on Microsoft’s Windows RT and made Surface 2 tablet as the only device in the market running Windows RT.
Moreover, Dell hasn’t revealed any future plans about sending any RT devices to the market yet. Similarly, Asus, Acer, HTC, Lenovo and Samsung also discontinued their Windows RT tablets as well as cancelled their planned launches of similar devices, with no intention of bringing it in future.
This situation makes Microsoft as the one and only company manufacturing the Windows RT tablets, which is their own software and it seems it’s hard to leave their OS – emotionally! But the company has to look into the buyer’s emotion before taking decisions on releasing the products into the market. Microsoft recently released the improved version of Surface series of tablets – Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2.
