Comcast does not have a great reputation on providing its customers with great customer care service. The experts believe that the application is also to some extent an effort to make amends to the poor reputation that Comcast has. The application will show you precisely how long will it take for the nearest technician to reach your home. The customers will be informed about 30 minutes before the technician is about to reach them and then they can track the journey on the map.
According to the statement from the new Serior Vice President of Customer Experience, Charlie Herrin, the application is just the beginning. Comcast also plans to bring in live updates into the application about various features, new offers, etc.. The application is currently in the testing phase and it will be interesting to see how things turn out to be.
