Russian president Putin gifts a dual screen YotaPhone 2 to Chinese Leader

It is evident that the devices are getting smarter in current days but could you imagine smart gifts being endorsed by people? It is none other than Vladimir Putin, who has presented the Chinese leader, Xi Jinping with a dual screen YotaPhone 2. YotaPhone is developed in Russia and it is world’s first dual screen smartphone.vladimir-putin-yotaphone-2

The smart gift was given by Putin after an official meeting in Beijing. It is interesting to note that this was actually the tenth anniversary of meeting between the leaders of two powerful nations.

YotaPhone’s special edition possesses a data protection system, which is a master stroke by Russian engineers. This is what makes the phone unique when it comes to the safety levels.

When Putin presented the smartphone to the Chinese leader, Xi Jinping was happy to the extremes. The spokesperson of Putin stated that the smartphone gifted to the Chinese leader was stuffed with Russian, Chinese and APEC paraphernalia.

Xi Jinping is known for his witty statements and when he was gifted the smartphone by Putin, he popped up with a question, “Do we have partnership in this project as well?” on which Putin was quick in his reply and said, “Will do!”

According to the experts, the Chinese leader has now become the first person in the world to own YotaPhone 2. The launch of this YotaPhone is scheduled for December and this is the time when these devices will be available for purchase in Russia. The smartphone will then move its market to Europe and other parts of the world. The sales in China and South East Asia will begin by the first quarter of 2015.

YotaPhone is basically the second generation smartphone of the series. It was unraveled in Barcelona earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Russian smartphone will have a dual screen and apparently, it is the first smartphone in the world to possess a dual screen.

The device will be sold at a mere price of $300, which is quite reasonable considering its features and legacy. The Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is an avid lover of tech gadgets is also a great fan of YotaPhone. He was given the device last year and has since been one of its greatest fans.
