Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has already hinted about releasing new Lumia series of smartphones in its new #MoreLumia event to be held on November 11, and it looks like the two of those new Lumia phones have already made into the web. The two of these Microsoft-branded phones are Lumia 535, a budget smartphone and Lumia 1330, a high-end smartphone.
The leaked pics of these two brand new smartphones have been surfaced online. Although there are many Nokia Lumia Windows Phone handsets are there in the market, what makes these two smartphones different than its predecessors? It’s all about the removal of ‘Nokia’ from the device name. Microsoft will be starting using its own brand name for future Lumia smartphones, and these are the first set of devices to get the Microsoft Lumia brand name. Microsoft acquired Nokia’s mobile business for $7.2 billion.
Analysts expect that the rebranding of Nokia Lumia smartphones might help the software giant in terms of marketing, as the term Microsoft has its own online reputation than any other brands worldwide. Now that the rebranding is official, we are very curious about the next big steps by the company in terms of improving the features and specifications of its Windows Phone lineup.
Microsoft Lumia 535:
As we could guess from the number ‘535,’ Microsoft Lumia 535 could be the affordable Windows Phone smartphone to be announced at the November 11 #MoreLumia event. Although the device is said to be replacing the Lumia 530 series, it would have a rather larger display screen than its predecessors.
The device is rumored to feature a 5-inch display screen with the qHD resolution, which is not par with the current high-end smartphones (thus, an affordable one!). Microsoft Lumia 535 to feature a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 5 megapixel rear camera with a VGA front camera, 8GB internal storage, 1,900mAh battery, Dual-SIM option and variety of color options as its older siblings had.
Microsoft Lumia 1330:
As of now, only images of Microsoft Lumia 1330 has been leaked online and no details about its features and specifications surfaced online. So, this device is still a mystery for all those Windows Phone lovers out there. From those leaked pics, we can predict a 5.7-inch (or smaller than 6-inch) smartphone. The LED flash of Lumia 1330 is placed above the rear camera, which is a major change in Lumia series, where all other devices boasts the LED flash beside the primary camera. Rumors suggest that Microsoft Lumia 1330 will be a camera-centric smartphone similar to Nokia Lumia 1020, and will be having a dedicated camera button. But, the possibility of incorporating the PureView technology is less likely.
As these are just rumors, we should have to rely on this information until the truth comes out at Microsoft’s #MoreLumia event takes place this Tuesday, November 11. Stay tuned for more updates.
