After announcement in last May regarding the 150 Mbps internet to be rolled out in few cities across Japan, NTT DoCoMo now prepares itself to unveil the 5G (next-generation mobile communication system) at the CEATEC Conference.
CEATEC conference will be held at the Makuhari Messe exhibition center in Japan’s Chiba city from October 1 to 5. The company has said in the press release that, it will be unveiling it’s own version of the 5G “concept” at the conference along with some new lineup of smartphones for NTT DoCoMo. You will see a Google Glass-a-like wearable device made by Vuzix in the event.
The company has already tested the 10 Gbps wireless internet by using the gear-laden vehicle with the help of Tokyo Institute of Technology early this year. We don’t know, whether the company is referring to it or to some new technology, but it’s giving the promise of “high capacity, low latency and incredible speed” in the upcoming internet concept.
Moreover, Nikkei: KDDI also announced of a monstrous 220 Mbps internet to be rolled out in summer 2014. We have to wait for a year, to test our self that – Competition is good for consumers! Do you want this speed in United States?Have your say in the comments below.
