The First Microsoft Lumia Device to be unveiled on November 11

Since the time Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) bought Nokia, none of the devices have surfaced in the market from the new owner. The wait is finally over as the new smartphone from Microsoft under the Lumia brand is about to debut this Tuesday.microsoft-lumia-teaser

The new Microsoft Lumia smartphone will be showcased on Tuesday. A teaser of the smartphone has already been released by the company. It is apparently one of the most anticipated smartphones to be featured this season. The teaser has been posted by the company under the hashtag, “#Morelumia”.

In the teaser, we can see an orange frame which is thought of as the front end of the camera. It is the first time that the Lumia smartphones will be launched under the label of Microsoft and not Nokia. This will actually mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Lumia devices in the market.

After looking at the teaser, we can conclude that the phone has bright colors and will make up for the Nokia’s legacy. However, when Lumia phones were launched under the Nokia brand, they did not do much magic with sales, but a lot is expected from the amalgamation of Microsoft and Lumia.

According to a blog post shared by Microsoft about their new device, “Microsoft is delivering the power of everyday mobile technology to everyone.” The Windows phone operating system is not one of the favorites in the market and hence, it needs to build some sort of spark as well. Considering the numbers, Microsoft phone OS covers only 2.5 percent of the total mobile devices in the world. On the other hand, Google’s OS, Android finds place in 85% of the smartphones in the world, which is a mind boggling number.

It is important to know that Microsoft had acquired Nokia for $7.2 billion in the month of April this year. Now it is up to Microsoft as to where it takes the fortunes of the Lumia brand established by the Finnish company.
