In a recent news, Google street view car hit 2 public transportation buses and a truck in Bagor in Indonesia. As per the Police, the car driver first rammed his car in the truck, when the truck driver responded angrily to the car driver he got panic and drove away his car. But this lead to hitting of his car into a public transportation bus and then into another truck.
It is still not clear if anyone was injured in this accident, but Google had made it official that this incident took place. Head of Google Communications, Indonesia says about this accident “We take incidents like this very seriously. We’re working closely with local authorities to address the situation,”
Google has been taking pictures from the year 2012 for providing the mapping service. As per the previous reports it has been came to know that there was one more incident which took place in Botswana, where their car ran over a donkey. But Google disagreed to this incident. As per the street view photos captured it was seen that in one picture the animal was walking and in the other picture it was lying on the road.
Kei Kawai, who is group product manager for Google Maps said in a blog post “Because of the way our 360-degree imagery is put together, it looked to some that our car had been involved in an unseemly hit-and-run, leaving the humble beast stranded in the road,”He also said that the donkey was enjoying the dust bath and he was safe and alive.
