Both tablets thus are even with fingerprint technology. Apple has A8 processor, a dual core CPU with only 1GB RAM.

Samsung Tab comes in 2 variants, one is LTE and other is WiFi-only. Wi-Fi only variant includes a 3GB RAM and octa-core processor with 1.3 GHz speed. The LTE runs on Snapdragon 800 Krait 400 by Qualcomm and has a speed of 2.3 GHz. This means that both devices have upgraded their internal specs to suit the high-end applications available on both platforms.

Memory wise Apple is available in 16, 64 and 128GB models and Galaxy Tab S has just two 16 and 32GB models. Camera quality is similar as both have an 8 MP rear camera. However, Apple’s camera has been applauded more than Samsung, because of the iSight feature.. Front camera differs as Apple iPad Air 2 has 1.2MP camera and its opponent has 2.1MP. While Apple can capture high-end videos Samsung camera wins on the detailed images.

Android tablets have significantly improved the battery as Apple always came first in that spec. Same goes with these latest tablets also. iPad Air 2 can run up to 10 hours once it is fully charged whereas Samsung Tab runs up to 9 hours. The last aspect of this comparison is the pricing, which might not affect the regular buyers.

The comfort level of the devices is amazing and there is a price for quality. 16GB versions of both iPad Air 2 and Galaxy Tab S cost $499. LTE versions jump by $130 for both Apple and Samsung.
