Apple Inc. has beaten all records this year with its sales of iPhone, iPad and Macs. The fiscal year of 2014 has been a much better one that the recent ones for the iPhone maker. The month of September has ensured that Apple Inc. gather up a whooping $8.5 billion in net profit on a total, and collected revenue of $42 billion approximately. The sales of Apple products were in good numbers right from the beginning of the year but, undoubtedly the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has added a huge incentive to the final sales figure.
The analysts were expecting a huge profit margin for Apple during the last quarter, mainly due to the duo of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. According to a statement, Analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, Apple will find it difficult to take the revenue further over the $40 billion mark. Interestingly, Apple Inc. mustered a revenue of approximately $42 billion till the September frame.
The number of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that Apple has sold till 27th September is 39.27 million. Apple has managed to beat iPhone 5S and 5C’s last year’s record in quarterly sales. ON the other hand, Mac also saw an increase in the sales figure, with 5.5 million units sold in the three month period. This is Apple’s best statistics with Mac.
Interestingly, iPad sales have gone down by 800 thousand over the year. The experts believe that the anticipation and the launch of iPhone 6 Plus may have played a major role in the fall of the sales figure. With iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 to begin shipping this week, iPad might end up on a slight high.
Apple had launched two different models iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s in the last year and Apple had sold more than 9 million units all together in the first week.
