Samsung has mocked Apple iPhone 6 in a new video by releasing “The Three-Point Bend test” which claims that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is stronger than the Apple’s phablet. The new iPhone 6 Plus is facing complaints from users over the bendgate issue.
Blackberry has also mocked Apple during the launch of the new Passport by stating that it does not bend and Samsung has also made use of the opportunity. Samsung performs the 3-point bend test where the 5.7-inch Note 4 returns to its original state after 220-pound human pressure over hundred times and machine pressure. The company claims that the Note 4 is much stronger than the iPhone 6 which even face complaints on Twitter under the hashtag #bendgate.
“Our iPhones are designed, engineered and manufactured to be both beautiful and sturdy,” said Apple.
Though the issue of bendgate went viral and caused many users to post videos of bend test and analysis, Apple remained firm over the sturdiness of its new device. The company mentioned that the iPhone 6 was produced by using stainless-steel and titanium inserts to reinforce high-stress locations and the use of the strongest glass for the displays. The issue has only affected the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus due to its larger size.
While leading tech companies make use of an opportunity to mock Apple, the bendgate issue has caused concerns among users regarding the company’s quality checks. Reports that Apple was banning any media that conducted bendgate tests also caused quite a stir among Apple users. The company might soon have to formulate a long-term solution instead of proving the sturdiness of the iPhone 6 Plus.
