Of late Blackberry has not seen the best of times and the market has been a part of the declining curve. Since the launch of Blackberry Passport on Wednesday, approximately 200,000 has been sold by the company.
According to the statement by the CEO John Chen, the unusually shaped Smartphone was completely sold out in approximately 6 hours from the company’s official website. Amazon found all the devices sold out in a little less that 10 hours. Blackberry CEO, John Chen has expressed a sense of relief after such a response from the customers when the company is looking forward to reestablishing its lost authority in the market.
According to the experts, the decent start by Blackberry Passport is extremely crucial for the company under Chen. The Smartphone is a bit different from the conventional Smartphones that we have in the market. With a unique keyboard, Blackberry Passport has been aimed for corporate officials who have to do a lot of typing of e-mails and messages.
On the other hand, AT&T has confirmed that they will be selling Blackberry Passport which would again be likely to boost the sale of the Smartphone. The unlocked version of Blackberry Passport is available for $599 in the United States.
