Samsung is unveiling its Galaxy S sequel every year and recently introduced Samsung Galaxy S5 with brilliant features that attracts everyone’s minds. Similarly, in order to catch the mind of consumers, Sony has planned a schedule that doubles the output of the device every six months by releasing a new flagship. Here I have compared both the devices with all its features, so that it will help you to choose the best of them.

<

Design:

Sony Xperia Z3 comes with its hallmark classic industrial design, Sony doesn’t want to change the design of Xperia Z series. The Sony Xperia Z3 is slimmer and lighter than its ancestors, i.e, Sony Xperia Z2, but the device is heavier than Samsung Galaxy S5.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a controversial plastic back plate that is found in other Samsung Galaxy S sequel devices and it is more handy while using. The Sony Xperia Z3 is a millimeter slimmer than the Samsung Galaxy S5, and both the devices come in four excellent colors. In this segment, Samsung Galaxy S5 got less point than Sony Xperia Z3, since S5 has IP67 rating and Z3 has IP65/68 rating.

Display:

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is powered with 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and has a pixel density of 432. In the meanwhile, Sony Xperia Z3 comes with 5.2 inch display with same resolution and 424 PPI. Sony has introduced various image enhancement techniques to boost up the display technology in the device and boosted the brightness of the device. While comparing to Samsung Galaxy S5, Xperia Z3 has more color reproduction and has more color reproduction than S5. Again Sony Xperia Z3 has won in the display segment.

Camera:

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has 16 MP primary camera and 2MP secondary front facing camera; the Xperia Z3 has 20.7 primary shooter with 2.2 MP front-facing secondary camera. Both the devices have a wide range of modes that offers a nice shooting experience to the users.

Sony has increased the ISO ranges of its flagship to reduce the noise in the device and has a wider lens in it. The camera in the S5 can eligible to compete the camera in Z2, but in case of Z3, it’s a perfect one.

Battery:

Sony Xperia Z3 comes with 3100mAh battery, which is 300mAh bigger than the 2800mAh Samsung S5 battery. Sony claimed that the device will run for two days and both the devices have a battery saving mode that enhances the device to resist for longer time.

CPU and Memory:

Both the devices come with same processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 2.5 GHz. Z3 has won this segment with its extra 1GB RAM, Samsung Galaxy S5 has 2GB of RAM, whereas Xperia Z3 has 3GB of RAM. Moreover, both the devices have 16GB and 32 GB versions of internal on-board storage with MicroSD card slot for 128GB.

Price:

Sony Xperia Z3 starts from $749 SIM-free and comes in $299 over contract deals. The price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 drops significantly, it was released at $299 over contract and now you can grab it for even $50 under 2-year terms. Unlocked Galaxy S5 will cost you around $599 now.

Conclusion:

In terms of price, Samsung Xperia S5 will be the best choice. But, the Sony Xperia Z3 has solid advantages than S5 in almost every terms. But, it’s up to the loyal fans of respected brands to choose the best smartphones for their needs. Personally, I would like to go for Sony Xperia Z3, but I don’t want to leave my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for now.
