Microsoft planned to release the most awaited gadget – Xbox One on November 22nd very next week after the release date of PS4 gaming console set by Sony.
Initially, Microsoft’s gaming console will be available in 13 countries – US, UK, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Canada, France, Mexico, Australia, Italy, Austria, Brazil and New Zealand. The company confirmed that remaining countries will get the Xbox One in early 2014. In respect to the Sony’s Playstation 4 launch, Microsoft’s only exception is North America, where PS4 will be in shelves on 15th November.
Yusuf Mehdi, Xbox’s marketing vice-president, announced the company’s rollout plans in a statement.
“The culmination of many years of listening to you, our fans, developing innovative technology, and partnering with the best game and entertainment partners in the industry has brought us to this point. There is still a lot more work to do, but the teams are making excellent progress and are focused on launch”.
Yusuf confirmed that the Xbox one recently started to production in full force for the easy for the launch date. The device has already sold out Pre-orders much faster than any of Microsoft’s previous gaming devices, he said. He also revealed that the gaming console’s processor had been upgraded from 1.6Ghz to 1.75Ghz, which is by around 10%.
