There is a huge buzz around the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the market. Moreover, there are accounts of people queuing up to grab the devices. Apple added some spice into the mix by announcing the record-breaking sales of its phones that account for 10 million over the weekend.
On Friday, an ample of Apple fans had queued up outside the Apple Store in order to be the first ones to put a hand on these newly launched devices. On Monday morning, the online stores of Apple mentioned that shipping of new devices would take at least 7-10 business days. The fans have to wait a little longer because of the hype that is created around the device.
There are no surprises with this outcome since the experts already anticipated great sales of these devices. Apple CEO Tim Cook said:
“Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn’t be happier, we would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin. While our team managed the manufacturing ramp better than ever before, we could have sold many more iPhones with greater supply and we are working hard to fill orders as quickly as possible.”
According to these calculations, the fans who order the device now will actually have to wait until mid October to receive it. For the moment, both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are available for sale in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, HK, Japan, Puerto Rico and Singapore. On September 26, the phones would arrive in 20 more countries.
The prospects of the newly launched Apple devices are great and we will have to wait a little longer to see how these devices perform in a longer run.
