Acer Iconia A3 announced with Android 4.2 JB, quad-core processor

After LG, now Acer is opening its cards for IFA 2013. LG has already announced an 8.3 inch tablet for IFA and now Acer has unveiled a 10.1 inch tablet which they will showcase at IFA this year. Dubbed as Acer Iconia A3 it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean OS and houses a 10.1 inches 1280×800 pixels capacitive multi-touch IPS screen. It is a light weighted tablet which weighs less than 600 grams and measures around 10.15 mm in thickness.


It is a high end machine that works in association with a Mediatek quad core 1.2 GHz processor. No detail about RAM is disclosed yet but it will nicely support the quad core processor for better multi-tasking (clear from other specs). It is equipped with 5 MP rear and a front facing camera.

This tablet comes with Wi-Fi and 3G + Wi-Fi models. It comes in two memory models of 16 GB and 32 GB each. You can further expand the ROM to 32 GB through normal SD card. HDMI, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc connectivity tools are there which makes sharing very convenient. Its battery provides 9 hours backup for continuous video playback.  This tablet is equipped with  Dolby Digital Plus sounding environment that provides 5.1 channel surround music experience.

Price and availability of Acer Iconia A3

Wi-Fi only variant: 249 Euros

Wi-Fi + 3G variant: 299 Euros

The Wi-Fi only variant will be launched in Europe, Middle Asia and Africa during first or second week of Octboer 2013. Talking about the Wi-Fi + 3G variant, then it will be launched in 3 regions (which are discussed already)during first or second week of November 2013.
