Apple iPhone 6 vs iPhone 6 Plus: Compare the specifications


Apple has launched its two flagship smartphones this week – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Let us see how Apple iPhone 6 Plus differs from iPhone 6 by comparing the specifications of both devices.

Now, talking about the display, the iPhone 6 has got a 4.7-inch display with a resolution which is relatively lower than current-gen high-end Android phones, at 1334 x 750 with 326PPI, which is same as that of iPhone 5S. However, in iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has added a 5.5-inch full 1920 x 1080 display with 401PPI pixel density.

For both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has updated Retina display to Retina HD, that, according to Apple, delivers higher contrast and more accurate colors respectively and it also contains Shatter proof glass with an oleophobic coating.

Regarding the camera, both the iPhone’s have primary 8MP, 3264 x  2448 pixels, auto-focus, dual-LED(dual tone) with flash & secondary 1.2 MP, 720p, burst, HDR. The thing that differs iPhone 6 Plus is that it has an additional feature known Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and also you will find some significant changes like phase detection auto-focus, improvements to tone mapping and noise reduction on the iPhone 6 Plus. Except these the other specifications in iPhone 6 Plus are same as that of iPhone 6.

The best part is both the iPhone’s are expected to be released in the US and UK on September 19, 2014.
