Microsoft’s hardware wing Nokia has launched Lumia 730 and Lumia 735 for selfie lovers as the new smartphone comes equipped with a 5MP front camera and several other features.
A wide-angle 5MP front camera is the highlight of the Lumia 730 and includes features like face detection and automatic adjustment of exposure for the perfect selfie. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Quallcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and 6.7Mp primary camera. The device includes 8GB internal memory and an expandable MicroSD slot that supports up to 128GB. The device packs a 2200mAh battery and will come in dark gray, orange, green, white and orange colors.
The Lumia 720 features a 4.3-inch display with 1280×720 resolution and utilized Nokia’s ClearBlack display technology. The smartphone will have a bottom panel that has system buttons which hides on swiping. The front camera also beeps to notify users if the face is in the frame. Other features include magazine cover filter with cover lines in the camera app. Nokia will provide 3 months of premium service to Lumia 730 users and will be powered by Windows 8.1.
The Lumia 730 only drawback is the old design similar to the Lumia 920 (2012) that had rounded edges and sharp corners. The slim and sleek smartphone is expected to be priced at 199 euros in the UK though the release date has not been revealed. The phone is economically priced that will appeal the mass market mainly for internet, funky colors, selfies and photography lovers. Another single-sim LTE model called the Lumia 735 will be priced at 219 euros will be released along with the Lumia 730. More details will be revealed in the coming days.
