Samsung to launch Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Android Tablet in September 2013

Samsung is going to launch Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Android tablet by September 2013. As the name suggests it is going to be a kid’s oriented tablet filled with lots of educational games and edu content. Samsung is among the first brands which is going to test smart gadgets for kids. JK Shin from Samsung has said that they have seen immense opportunity in kids’ world. He said that these days kids are keener toward testing new technologies. It is the main reason why they have developed this kid’s tablet.


It is one of the first machines of its kind which is stuffed with Android OS. As per as the specs are concerned, it houses a 7 inch WSVGA screen that provides vibrant picture quality at 1024×600 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean OS with 1.2 GHz dual core processor complimented with 1 GB RAM.

It houses 3 MP rear and 1.3 MP FF cameras that captures videos too. Connectivity wise, it supports Bluetooth (v 3.0) and Wi-Fi connectivity tools. It is equipped with 4,000 mAh battery that is designed especially for kids (for strong backup).

What’s special for kids?

At the first stage, it comes with lot of pre-loaded kids specific games. Along with this, it features a kid app store too. From this store, you can buy e-books, games, kids specific applications and lot more.

Samsung is giving parents the full control over this smart tablet. They can decide which apps/games their children’s should access through this tablet. They can even set the time limit their kids can use it. Once the time limit is exceeded, it requires password for further proceedings.

Price and availability

Now words about Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids price are available yet. It should be launched in Korea next month.
